Hemp, Inc. Begins Its First 53-Acre Hemp Planting

LAS VEGAS, NV–(Marketwired – Jul 12, 2016) – Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP) executives are pleased to announce that the next phase of its strategic business plan has been initiated… Hemp, Inc.’s planting of its first fifty-three acres of hemp. According to executives, Hemp, Inc. will begin to joint venture with land owners and/or companies across America to grow hemp while it continues to complete the final phase of bringing online its multi-purpose hemp processing facility in North Carolina. Last month’s successful planting of 420 acres of Kenaf, in North Carolina, triggered the next phase of also growing industrial hemp.

Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP), said, “We have a 70,000 square foot industrial hemp processing facility, on 9 acres of land in the final stages of completion, so our primary focus is on getting it operational. Growing hemp is also part of our strategic business model. I am very excited to have signed an agreement with Ron Almadova of Agri-Tech Farms, LLC. The 2016 hemp crop will be grown on Almadova’s land in Tonopah, Nevada.” Per the agreement, Mr. Almadova has agreed to grow, harvest, and transport the hemp to specified processing locations.

The planting of the hemp crop will be completed by today, July 12, 2016, according to Almadova. And by early October, 2016, the harvest will be complete. Currently, CEO Perlowin is traveling to North Carolina to oversee the final stages of the company’s industrial hemp plant operation. While in route, Perlowin is touring, with Michael Whalen, President and Founder of Nevada Hemp Association, potential acreage in Arizona and North Carolina to grow hemp. Thus far, Perlowin is interested in 7,000 acres near Flagstaff, Arizona. “Industrial hemp is an economical, sustainable plant which can yield a very viable crop. It’s just a matter of time before it is legalized on a federal level. Hence the reason we are using the same strategy we used in North Carolina when hemp was not legal there. We don’t wait for it to become legal in a particular state. This strategy is what has put Hemp, Inc. ahead of the curve,” said Perlowin.

Bruce Perlowin has been personally creating Veteran-Village Kins Communities in the background for about 3 years now. Now, that model can be incorporated into Hemp, Inc.’s strategy of building hemp growing, CBD-producing “communities” or “villages.” “I already have 2,000 acres in Arizona where I’m building veteran villages on 500 of those acres. I’m also looking for land in Oklahoma, Kentucky, Colorado, Florida, Arkansas, New Mexico, and North Carolina. These Kins Communities will consist of hemp grown on 400 acres consisting of 160 lots of 1 1/2 acre Kins Domains (eco-villages) each growing 1 acre of hemp as well as having organic gardens, natural beehives, a pond, a living fence and other elements that consist of a Kins Domain.”

Perlowin continued, “We have already started building the first one of these 500-acre hemp-growing, CBD-producing, Veteran-Village, Kins Communities north of Kingman, Arizona, on a 500-acre parcel. We’ve already identified, at least, twenty-five 500-acre parcels that fit our criteria to enable us to subdivide them into 2 1/2-acre Kins Domains.” The infrastructure for the hemp growing, CBD-producing, Veteran-Village Kins Community takes time to build, which is why we start building before hemp becomes legal in certain states.

David Schmitt, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Industrial Hemp Manufacturing, LLC (IHM), said, “Partnering with land owners across America, coupled with having the ability to process industrial hemp at our plant will provide unlimited business opportunities for the company. I’m confident hemp will be legal in all 50 states very soon so we are on the fast track in getting our Spring Hope, NC hemp processing plant completed.”

As mentioned in a recent press release, Schmitt and IHM’s Director of Operations, Philip Boyer, were in Chicago, Illinois from June 21 – 22, 2016 to oversee the install of the new parts in one of IHM’s two mills. “The manufacturer of the mill is located in Chicago, so we sent our mill there to have it completely rebuilt to ensure there are no problems whatsoever. All the work has now been completed on one of the mills and is now in transit back to Hemp, Inc.‘s multipurpose hemp processing facility in Spring Hope, North Carolina,” said Schmitt.

The mill, that is now complete, will be used to make Hemp, Inc.’s LCMs (loss circulation material), Drillwall™. The other mill has already been rebuilt and is also in the process of being installed.

On June 27, 2016, David Schmitt traveled to Wichita, Kansas with the company’s engineering firm to visit the supplier of the air handling equipment needed for both of the mills. Per Schmitt, all of the engineering has been complete and the needed components are being manufactured: “We are expecting delivery in approximately thirty days.”

On June 28, 2016, Schmitt then traveled to Oklahoma to do a trial run for a potential new customer who is interested in Hemp, Inc.‘s (OTC PINK: HEMP) Kenaf material. The test also included a trial run with raw hemp, which was very successful according to Schmitt. “Once the material is shipped back to Hemp, Inc.’s facility in Spring Hope, North Carolina, we will perform a complete analysis on the material to confirm that it meets the customer’s specifications. The potential for this one product could be in excess of one hundred million pounds per year.”

Last month, IHM executives sent material to Volvo Trucks for analysis. The interior of Volvo’s trucks contains numerous components that can be made from hemp fiber. The auto industry has been using natural fiber in the production of automobiles for several years.

Industrial Hemp Manufacturing, LLC also contracted with local Spring Hope farmers to plant 420 acres of Kenaf, which has been a success. “After harvest, the crop should yield over 4,000,000 pounds,” said Schmitt. “We are looking forward to replacing Kenaf with hemp in 2017.”

Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP), said, “We are excited for how everything has been unfolding because there are great things ahead. Our decortication plant will be fully operational soon as well as our mills. Once it’s operational, our loyal shareholders who have believed in us and who continue to believe in us can expect to see the fruits of our labor.”

ABOUT INDUSTRIAL HEMP

Hemp is a durable natural fiber that is grown as a renewable source for raw materials that can be incorporated into thousands of products. It’s one of the oldest domesticated crops known to man. Hemp is used as a nutritional food product for humans and pets, building materials, paper, textiles, cordage, organic body care and other nutraceuticals, just to name a few. It has thousands of other known uses. A hemp crop requires half the water alfalfa uses and can be grown without the heavy use of pesticides.

Farmers worldwide grow hemp commercially for fiber, seed, and oil for use in a variety of industrial and consumer products. The United States is the only developed nation that fails to cultivate industrial hemp as an economic crop on a large scale, according to the Congressional Resource Service. However, with rapidly changing laws and more states gravitating towards industrial hemp and passing an industrial hemp bill, that could change. Currently, the majority of hemp sold in the United States is imported from China and Canada, the world’s largest exporters of the industrial hemp crop.

HEMP, INC.’S TRIPLE BOTTOM LINE

Hemp, Inc. (OTC PINK: HEMP) seeks to benefit many constituencies from a “Cultural Creative” perspective, thereby not exploiting or endangering any group. CEO of Hemp, Inc., Bruce Perlowin, is positioning the company as a leader in the industrial hemp industry, with a social and environmental mission at its core. Thus, the publicly traded company believes in “up streaming” a portion of its profits back to its originator, in which some cases will one day be the American small farmer — cultivating natural, sustainable products as an interwoven piece of nature. By Hemp, Inc. focusing on comprehensive investment results — that is, with respect to performance along the interrelated dimensions of people, planet, and profits — the triple bottom line approach can be an important tool to support its sustainability goal.
