LAS VEGAS, March 3, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hemp, Inc. (OTC:HEMP), through its wholly owned subsidiary, The Industrial Hemp and Medical Marijuana Consulting Company, Inc. (IHMMCC), announced today that its Board of Directors has appointed Dannion Brinkleyto serve as Hemp Ambassador to Dewmar International BMC, Inc. (OTCBB:DEWM).
Based on the Consulting Agreement between IHMMCC and Dewmar International BMC, Inc., IHMMCC is now providing its consulting services specific to the industrial hemp/medical marijuana industry to augment Dewmar’s sales and aid with strategically aligning their marketing strategy within the industry, all spearheaded by the newly appointed Hemp Ambassador, Dannion Brinkley.
Brinkley is known by many as the New York Times best-selling author who described two near death experiences in his 1994 book, “Saved by the Light”, which was adapted for a 1995 Fox Broadcasting Company TV movie of the same name starring Eric Roberts. “Saved by the Light” debuted as one of the highest rated television movies and has been in regular circulation on the Lifetime Movie Network.
Brinkley is also a hospice volunteer, international speaker and dedicated hemp supporter and advocate. He also co-founded and serves as the CEO of The Twilight Brigade, one of the largest end-of-life care communities that operates as an independent agency within VA hospitals and hospice facilities across the country. Its mission is to raise society’s consciousness about the needs of dying Veterans, ensuring that “no one need to die alone”. He has also been interviewed on Oprah, Larry King, CNN, ABC, and NBC.
“America is coming to age and I’m a firm believer that Industrial Hemp will be the number one economic driving force of the American people. I’m especially excited about working directly with Dewmar International BMC, Inc. (OTCBB:DEWM) to enhance the product reformulation of “Kush CakesTM” with Hemp, Inc.’s Hemp Hearts, the branding of it, and the product placement through even more distribution channels,” said Dannion Brinkley.
“There is no better person to guide Dewmar International BMC, Inc. (OTCBB:DEWM) as it enters its next chapter of expanded product innovation and growth than Dannion Brinkley,” said Bruce Perlowin, CEO of Hemp, Inc. (OTC:HEMP). “Dannion and Marco are both veterans and proven leaders with hard-core systemic beliefs in the benefits of hemp and CBDs and how it can potentially be used to treat a variety of Veteran health issues, including post-traumatic stress disorders that are commonplace among Veterans.”
According to Perlowin, the possibility exists that the calming effects of Dewmar’s reformulated “Kush CakesTM” and premium relaxation carbonated drink, “Lean Motion PotionTM“, could possibly have a positive effect on those commonplace Veteran health issues by reducing the stress, anxiety and restlessness that the condition creates.
The “Kush CakesTM“, in particular, are reformulated with Hemp, Inc.’s Hemp Hearts which were cultivated in the Gansu Province of Northwest China in a joint venture between Hemp, Inc. and the Yasheng Group. The hemp crop, planted back in 2013, yielded over 40,000 kg of hemp seeds and over 35,000 kg of raw fiber. The hemp hearts contain beneficial Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids and cannabinoids, or CBDs, a non-toxicating group of compounds with proven medical benefits and no serious contraindications.
“Together, I feel that Hemp, Inc.’s IHMMCC and Dewmar International BMC, Inc. (OTCBB:DEWM) are truly revolutionizing the world through Dewmar’s products and I couldn’t be more honored to have been chosen to help lead Dewmar in the hemp industry,” Brinkley said. “The opportunities are endless, but to seize those opportunities that lie ahead requires us to focus clearly, move faster and continue to transform. A big part of my job is to accelerate their ability to bring innovative products to consumers quickly.”
Dr. Marco Moran, CEO of Dewmar International BMC, Inc. (OTCBB:DEWM) said, “I’ve had the distinct privilege of meeting Dannion Brinkley before he was appointed as our Hemp Ambassador. His passion for the hemp industry is unparalleled and his work ethic matches my high level of intensity. We are both veterans that share several common goals. There is no doubt that our combined efforts will create a successful brand of hemp-infused edible brownies.” (Moran recently met Brinkley while attending the world’s largest and most popular counterculture trade show, CHAMPS, in Las Vegas, Nevada.)
According to Perlowin, Hemp, Inc.’s subsidiary, The Industrial Hemp and Medical Marijuana Consulting Company, Inc. (IHMMCC), is well-entrenched and connected in the Industrial Hemp and medical cannabis sector. As the country transitions to embrace more sustainable agriculture practices, public companies want to expand into the Industrial Hemp/Medical Marijuana Industry and IHMMCC is helping to successfully lead the way. With IHMMCC’s “Hemp Ambassador” system, each appointed Ambassador works hands-on with each company. The Hemp Ambassadors create a strong “Community of Companies” all working together, pooling their resources, marketing connections and strategies in order to help all the companies grow simultaneously.
“IHMMCC appears to be in the embryotic stages of creating a one-stop-shop for industry information, education, products and services, research and development (R&D), marketing, and channels of distribution for the industrial hemp and medical marijuana industries,” stated Perlowin.
